Deb Brandt grew up on a hobby farm with sisters, dogs, ponies, goats and a rooster named Clarence. She has kept city chickens and bees in her Indianapolis, Indiana, backyard along with growing vegetables. She is managed by her herding dogs: a corgi named Fen and a border collie named Rosie.
