As gardeners, we all know that what you put into your soil eventually ends up in your food. This couldn’t be more true for an 82-year-old man in Germany, whose lost wedding ring went missing three years ago. Apparently, the ring ended up in his garden, but he didn’t know that until this week, when he went out to harvest, according to German news station WDR. The man’s wife, who died 6 months ago, was certain that the ring would eventually turn up, and she was right—though we bet she might be surprised where it turned up. The man found his ring hugging one of the carrots he grew. Can you imagine going out to harvest 24 carrots and coming back with 24 karats? We’re sure this was a harvest he’ll remember for a lifetime.
