For many couples, the pre-nuptial tradition of engagement photos serves to capture the intimacy and romanticism of the soon-to-be-wed pair. But for Kristin Hartness and Jay Yontz, the sesh wouldn’t be complete without a few photobombs from their pet piggy, Ziggy.
We featured the duo and their endearing 250-pound potbelly pig, who are traveling the U.S. in an RV, back in January. The lifestyle of this “farmily” is far from typical, so why would their engagement photos—captured by photographer Brian Smyer—be any different? In fact, all wedding plans will include their porcine family member.
“We will get married this year, whether it’s just the three of us or a backyard wedding or maybe something on our very own farm,” Hartness told the Huffington Post. “Whatever or wherever it may be, it will be special because I can’t wait to take the next step as our little family.”
In lieu of the standard wedding registry, Hartness and Yontz will be asking for donations to put toward the nonprofit animal sanctuary “Ziggy’s Refuge” they’re starting in North Carolina. If you can’t get enough of Ziggy The Traveling Piggy, follow him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and his website. (We hear he’ll be stealing the show at the White House next.)
