As usual, there’s so much work to be done in the garden that I can barely keep up! One of the tasks I’ve been delaying (simply because it’s one of my least favorites) is deadheading.
Several years ago, I built a trellis for a clematis in our front garden. We quickly established that that I had built it too small.
We lost our big, old apple tree in a windstorm last week. Although the tree was half dead and produced only a handful of fruits, I will miss it.
As you may be able to guess from the title of today’s post, I’m typing this blog with only nine fingers.
When I got home last evening, I decided to fill my patio planters even though I can’t put them on the new patio until the final coat of sealant is applied. I went ahead and planted a few of them in the ground, too.
The seed catalogs have really started rolling in, now, and it’s so exciting. I was talking with some fellow gardeners yesterday about their favorite catalogs and about some of the new varieties they are looking forward to trying this year.
