Shows delving into sustainable topics are popping up all over the dial—AM and online. Check out a few of our favorites for the latest earthy happenings:

The Main Course

Skip the appetizer and get right to The Main Course of cooking and sustainability with hosts Patrick Martins and Katy Keiffer on Sundays at 12 p.m. EST on Heritage Radio Network. The program digs deep into this country’s sustainable food chain, from how farmers raise the food to how chefs prepare it to how ethics and policy can affect both.

Catch It, Cook It, Eat It

Something fishy is spreading across the virtual airwaves on HRN Thursdays at 3 p.m. EST, and this Catch It, Cook It, Eat It program has native ocean boy Ben Sargent’s voice all over it. Known for his seafood soups and incredible surfing style, Sargent will guide you through the waters of the East Coast and offer his seafood secrets to success.

Tap Roots

Join Marla Camp on HRN as she taps into America’s local-food movement and connects with local family farmers, chefs and other foodies on Mondays at 5 p.m. EST. Tap Roots offers entertainment, seasonal eating info and a love for root vegetables.

Eat to the Beat

Music and food lovers unite with HRN host Sarah Obraitis on Eat to the Beat every Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST. Obraitis brings in community artists and foodies to perform, discuss their art, share their thoughts on culinary and green issues, and explore the worlds of food and music.

Greenhorn Radio

Get the dirt on HRN’s farming program Thursdays at 2 p.m. EST with America’s young farmers. Acclaimed activist, farmer and documentarian host Severine Fleming interviews these cutting-edge guys and gals and gets the latest on farming techniques on Greenhorn Radio

 Need the know-how on Biodynamic farming and the lastest info on Ayurvedic medicine? Tune in to An Organic Conversation, a radio show hosted by musician and organic-foods activist Helge Hellberg Saturdays at 10 a.m. PST on San Francisco’s Green 960 AM station.
